Our courses are designed to be as practical as possible, giving delegates
the skills and knowledge they need to confidently deal with situations
they meet in their day to day working environments. Catalyst believe that
the more realistic the training, the greater the relevance
to the delegates and the easier it is for them to transfer their learning
back to the workplace. Consequently, with your approval, we will always
try to tailor the course as much as possible
by:
- Meeting with you to discuss your specific requirements.
- Circulating questionnaires to attendees and course sponsors.
- Adjusting the course content to your needs.
- Developing exercises which reflect realistic examples from your organisation.
- Relating the training to your organisation’s guides, policies
and procedures.
- Agreeing any pre-course and post-course work.
- Customising the course material and manual eg incorporating your
organisation’s logo.

You Decide the
Course Content
The content of our standard courses can be found at A-Z
of Courses. However, you
can mix and match the content from several courses to develop a bespoke
programme.
Also, Catalyst can develop courses specific to your organisation eg Induction
Programmes, Change Processes, Practical skills courses for your policies
and procedures.
Free Consultation
We will visit your organisation, if required, to gain a greater understanding
of your environment and requirements. After this consultation we will
develop a tailored course outline for your approval. This free consultation
is available to all companies in southern England.
Facilitation
Catalyst advocates that the best way of learning is by doing. Consequently,
during the course, delegates will spend a lot of time practicing the skills
they are being taught. These practical sessions
can include:
- Case studies
- Syndicate exercises
- Individual and paired exercises
- Role-plays
- Telephone recording laboratory
- CCTV
Catalyst will work with you to ensure these reflect situations
which the delegates meet in their day-to-day working environment.
Trainers
One of our strengths is that we only provide trainers who have extensive
and relevant
commercial experience. Our trainers draw on their professional backgrounds
to advise
and coach delegates on how to apply the skills taught on the course in
the ‘real world’.
